Meet Willow, a brave soul who was rescued in December 2024. Found as a stray in dire condition, she arrived at the pound resembling a walking skeleton, desperately in need of care and compassion.

Fortunately, one of our devoted foster families stepped in to give Willow the love she so desperately craved. They dedicated countless hours to nurse her back to health, providing her with nutritious meals and, more importantly, the affection she had been missing for so long.

Despite her age, Willow’s spirit shone brightly, but her journey was not without challenges. Tragically, she suffered a stroke shortly after her rescue. With the unwavering support of her foster family, she was nursed back to health, recovering well, though with a slight head tilt as a reminder of her struggle.

Just when it seemed that things were looking up, Willow faced another hurdle: a diagnosis of pyometra, a serious infection requiring emergency surgery. Once again, her incredible foster family rallied around her, ensuring she received the best care possible. Willow bounced back from this ordeal, thanks to their dedication and love.

To enhance her quality of life, Willow began hydrotherapy, helping her regain strength and mobility. She embraced this new chapter with joy, exploring and enjoying her time with her foster family.

Sadly, Willow passed away in October 2025, leaving a profound impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her journey is a poignant reminder of the resilience of rescue dogs and the transformative power of love and care.

Though her time with us was brief, Willow’s spirit will forever be a part of our community.
